 India became an independent nation on 15-Aug-1947, a date trusted by Lord Louis Mountbatten, as it marked the second anniversary of Japan's submission to allied powers after World War II. After India became independent it did not have its own constitution. Amid India's Digital infra push, Moody's say the world's largest digital ID p0rogramme often denies service to users: it questions reliability of biometric technology, warns of privacy and security risks. Global rating major Moody's Investors Service has flagged concerns about security and privacy vulnerabilities in centralised identification system such as India;s Aadhar programme. The unique ID system often results in "service denials" and using biometric technologies in humid conditions is unreliable, it noted.
